Ukulele exercise: fingerpicking pattern #1

Introduction

Fingerpicking is a different way to play that only singing and making chords. There are a few great players, like Jake Shimabukuro or Jung Sungha. Start with the beginning and learn how to move your fingers with this ukulele fingerpicking exercise.

About this ukulele fingerpicking exercise:

Here is the first nice fingerpicking pattern you can use.

You have to pick the string always in the same order, 2nd (C), 3rd (E), 1st (G), 4th (A).

Have a look and like other exercises, play it slowly first and you can increase the speed when you feel comfortable.

You can use this exercise in addition to the other ones. When you have a few minutes, practice it until you play it at the speed you want!

Later, you’ll be able to mix this one with the other and to add some notes you like to make it yours.
